In a snow-covered village hidden in the heart of the North Pole, lived a little elf named Linfred. Linfred was not like the other elves in Santa’s workshop. While his friends loved making toys and wrapping presents, Linfred was known for his great curiosity. He asked questions about everything: 'How do reindeer fly?', 'Why is snow white?', and most of all, 'How does Santa deliver all the presents in one night?'

One cold morning, just as Christmas Eve was approaching, an alarmed cry echoed through the village: 'Santa’s sleigh has disappeared!' Everyone started searching for it, but in vain. Even the reindeer seemed upset. Without the sleigh, Christmas might be canceled. Linfred, always curious, decided it was time to prove that he could be useful, even outside the workshop. He grabbed his pom-pom hat and a magical lantern and declared: 'I’m going to find the sleigh, no matter what!'

Linfred ventured into the frozen forest, guided by intuition. He knew the sleigh couldn’t have just disappeared on its own. As he crossed snowdrifts and icy caves, he heard a strange sound of jingling bells. It was coming from the Hill of Wonders, a mysterious place where no one dared to go.

When Linfred reached the summit, he discovered a huge shadow: Grobock, the Ice Bear. This giant, furry creature had found the sleigh and carried it into his cave, thinking it was filled with treats. Linfred used his small size and quickness to climb onto the bear, speaking gently: 'Oh, Grobock, you don’t want to ruin Christmas, do you? If you return the sleigh, I promise Santa will bring you the most delicious cookies in the world!' The bear, intrigued by the promise of cookies, grumbled a bit but finally agreed

With Grobock's help, Linfred pulled the sleigh back to the village. The elves cheered him as a hero, and Santa himself warmly thanked him: 'Thanks to you, Linfred, Christmas is saved! Your curiosity took you where no one else dared to go.' Linfred received a magical golden star to hang on his hat, symbolizing his courage and adventurous spirit. From that day on, he became the elf in charge of special missions, while Grobock received a huge sack of cookies every Christmas.
